We attend the Friday night High School games to watch football and never give much thought to all the other parts that make up the night – the ticket sellers/takers, the cheerleaders, and the band – all the work that goes into the marching. They start practice back in July, long before football season begins. They are always a part of the parades, pep rallies, and concerts. During their years as members of the Decatur Red Raider band they experience a lasting friendship, create a winning spirit, and promote a school pride that all students, players, faculty, and fans can be proud of. The Red Raider Marching Band is number one in my book!
